Encircled VII

Peninsula School of Art
Fish Creek, WI
June 26-28, 2014
Learn the art of Russian (open back) filigree through extensive demonstrations and hands-on exploration. Participants will make a pendant, a ring, a large hollow bead and explore more sculptural possibilities with the process. Most importantly participants will learn the necessary tips and tricks to ensure success and fun through this exquisite technique. Participants must know how to solder with a torch.

Victoria’s award winning artwork has appeared in international juried shows and publications, including the Crafts National, Radical Alchemy, Metal Inclinations 2, CraftForms, eXtreme Tea, in the Lark 500 book series, Metalsmith and Jewelry Artist magazines, and on Home and Garden Television.
She is the author of the internationally acclaimed series, Metal Techniques of Bronze Age Masters, including the DVD, Russian Filigree, which generated a world wide revival of nearly lost metalsmithing techniques.
Those familiar with the technique from Victoria’s DVD will have the opportunity to work on more advanced projects.
