For all babies in NICU's everywhere at this moment:
May their hearts beat stronger. May their lungs fill with air and their oxygen levels be at 100%. May those, who must intervene on their behalf do so with awareness and compassion. Amidst all that plastic, all those tubes, wires, needles, noise, and lights, may they feel the love that they are, and may it carry them through the fight of their lives in reality too harsh and often too soon experienced.

It's been over 6 years and just the thought of another tiny life suffering to survive brings instant tears. Welcome to the world, Eden. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I promise it gets better!
